New Indigenous Youth Leaders Step Out

For the fifth year in a row the Indigenous Youth Leadership Camp has seen a new cohort of young people ready themselves for life after leaving school. With 29 high school students mentored by IH residents, the 4-day camp was not only inspirational but challenging and of course fun! Supporters such as Compass Group help us provide this camp each year free of charge to students and we can’t thank them enough.

Activities over the camp included career planning, adventure-based learning, didgeridoo class, experiencing an Archaeology dig, activities at Southbank, storytelling and letters to future self. The camp concluded with our graduation breakfast, presentation of participation certificates and our sad farewells!
