Alice has been working at RBWH in the ICU but recently transferred to a medical unit due to the rising pressure to prepare for COVID-19.

“The elevators have restrictions on the number of people allowed in them and there are concerns about the amount of personal protective equipment available.
Despite this, the healthcare professionals I have worked with have shown amazing resilience and calmness to the pandemic. Everyone seems to be ready to work together as a team to get this year back into the 2020 we all deserve.
The best thing everyone can do is maintain personal hygiene measures and social distancing as best as possible. This pandemic, while it has been causing loads of negativity in the world, I think there are many things to gain from it.
I'm much more grateful to have been able to visit my family and hang out with my friends before this situation. I definitely won't complain about the distance between College and my home again. I think it will teach everyone a lot about the importance of infection control, like washing your hands regularly.
